A Great Start to a GREAT Year!

Well.... Once again it has been forever and ever and ever, since I have updated everyone on our family.  So much has happened in our lives.....  The greatest and biggest thing being Brayden has started Kindergarten!  He loves school and loves his teacher Ms. Hefner.  He thinks she is just the greatest.  

So far Brayden has been on blue!  Blue means excellent!  I can't believe that I was so concerned about how he was going to do at school.  Of course, we are only on the second week of school.  I have faith in our little man though....   It is so funny because he strives so hard to stay on blue. Either he really doesn't want to get in trouble or he is too scared to be grounded from tv. Hmmm, I wonder which it is....

Bailee is doing wonderful now that her fever is gone.  We didn't even make it 2 weeks in daycare before she got sick and we were called to pick her up.  Luckily her ears were clear (we had tubes put in this Summer) and strep test was negative.....  We got the whole.... it must be a virus...  and we were sent on our way.  We did find out tonight that she will get to go to an in home provider.  I can't wait!  Bailee starts in two weeks.  Sherry Ott is her name....  she even took care of Aunt Shelley years and years ago..... too funny. Hopefully that will curve some of these "viruses" that seem to be constantly thrown our way.

Justin and I are back in the swing of things and are having a great, but extremely busy past few weeks.  We all four get home, eat, bathe, and crash.  Bailee doesn't even hardly cry when we put her to bed, she is so wiped out.

Bailee's First Easter!

What a great Easter we had! We had everyone over at our house for Easter and had a wonderful time! Aunt Shelley helped me get some great pictures of Bailee holding an Easter egg. I had to share the pic!

What have we been up to?

Well, it has been FOREVER since I have updated the blog....... Does this give you an idea of how absolutely CRAZY it has been......

Let's see..... what have we been up to? Well, we are officially raising sheep. Justin and his dad named their new breeding experiment/business.... Double D Southdowns. Interesting name to say the least......

So we have had a few babies since February...... and by God, I was going to show Justin that I can be a GREAT sheep raiser's wife! That chance came when I had the opportunity to display my mouth to mouth knowledge.... ON A LAMB! We had a ewe that ended up having trouble with delivering and Justin had to pull the baby....... Well it was stillborn.... silly me I swore it still had life in it's eyes and as Justin handed off the lamb to me... I immediately started CPR..... no I was not successful and the lamb was not revived. But being that I am OCD and won't even hardly drink after anyone much less put my mouth near a bloody dead lamb is a HUGE deal.

We thought mother was going to make it but found out differently the next morning. Soooo needless to say we are not going to go into the business of pulling sheep in the near future...... Poor Justin.... It was a great buck lamb too and a darn good ewe..... So is the life of raising sheep, as I am told from our good friends that raise sheep too.

Now with almost 100 sheep.... When my wonderful husband is home... he is actually out with the sheep...... and he couldn't understand why I wasn't jumping for joy when all this started.... This is exactly what we needed... one more thing to keep him from the house... maybe that is his intention.... not really! I know that this has been a dream of his and I am happy to see him living it......There have been some funny experiences we have had with this new endeavor that I will be posting soon! Check back for that......
