It's been a while... a long while...

It has been FOREVER since I have blogged. I lost my domain www.agteacherswife.com and it went into vault, and Godaddy wanted 80 bucks to get it out and renew... ummmm... no thanks.

The first two days of summer have been GREAT! We are enjoying every minute. There is so much going on but I love that. We are heading to our local waterpark... Schlitterbahn tomorrow. The kids are so excited.

Brayden ended the school year with a great report card. We are so very proud. We just need to work on his organization. Poor kid... between daddy and I..... he doesn't have a chance at organization. Justin and I promised each other we would get more organized and set a good example.

Bailee is great also. She amazes us with the things she says and does. She is definitely a girl though. The other day while riding in the car...... we hear "Mommy, Bubba is looking out my window." I could have fainted. In my ever so motherly voice.... I said... "Are you kidding me? Get over it!" She hasn't said it again, thank goodness. Then other times she will do something and end it with ha ha. Such as..... look at what I have Bubba, ha ha... it is so very frustrating. She is always trying to one up him. I have tried telling her that ha ha is not nice. She is getting better at not saying it..... we shall see. The difference in a boy and girl just amazes me... Brayden could care less about who looks out his window, if his clothes match, or if his underwear is a certain color.... but Bailee.... she cares.... very much so and lets it be known. Yesterday I was in the kitchen and I realized how quiet it was.... I immediately had that sick feeling in my stomach... it is NEVER quiet in this house... I went to the back porch and asked Brayden if he had seen his sister or knew where she was... he hadn't seen her in a while... I went to search for her and found her asleep on the bathroom rug. It was precious. I had to snap a pic. I woke her up to get her in her bed and she didn't want to move. So... she napped in the bathroom. :)

I did want everyone to know that ordered Scentsy product for Grey's Gift back in January, the quilt that Nicole had made out of Grey's clothing and blankets, will be ready in the next month. I will post pics of it as soon as it comes in. I can't wait for everyone to see the special quilt that they played a part in.

That's all for my updating..... at this point..... time for bed! Got to get up early and head to the waterpark!

Here is sleeping beauty... on the bathroom floor!

Here is a pic of Brayden and his buddy Colton at the 1st grade awards. You are looking at most athletic and most artistic.

Success!

The Scentsy Grey's Gift Fundraiser was a success, I believe! I don't have exact numbers yet, but I believe I will be able to give the Morris family a check for $300-$350! My goal was $200 and I am so excited to be able to give more. I couldn't have done it without all those that ordered! Thank you for your contribution. I will have exact numbers on Feb. 10th. I will also give the Morris family a list of those that placed orders! There were a bunch! I can't wait until the quilt is finished and to be able to share pics on my blog.

Things around the Dunlap household have been great. Justin just yesterday, got a newer truck. Poor guy, he will be 32 on Saturday and he is just now driving a nice truck.... not that we are materialistic.... but it is nice to see your hard work pay off. For those of you that knew his old truck.... you know he desperately needed a new one! We got an incredible deal from a salesman at Grande Ford in San Antonio.... his name is Pat Clarkson. It was an amazing experience and exactly how purchasing a vehicle should be. He even delivered it here for us! Reminds me of the good ol' days. My family in South Texas have been dealing with him for over 30 years..... trust me..... you wouldn't believe the deal we got. The people at our credit union were amazed and asked if they had any idea what the value was before they sold it to us!

I have quite a few photo sessions coming up and have even been asked about wedding photography! I would give anything to be able to do it full time. For now, I am enjoying and improving.

Justin and his dad are slowly getting out of the sheep business. They have already sold half of their flock. With all that Justin has going on..... it just got to a point where he couldn't devote the time he wants to at this point. Between ag teaching, new business ventures, hunting and fishing.... it just got to be too much. I just about fell over when he told me that they were considering this. I never in a million years thought he would give that up. We still have approx. 4o sheep and will be lambing them soon. That should be interesting! We are working hard on potty training Bailee. Whoever dreamed that the sight of poo in the potty would have the whole family jumping for joy?

This past weekend, the grandparents watched the kiddos and Justin and I were able to get away for a night. My mom booked us a room at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort and Spa for both of our birthdays. It was incredible. Saturday evening we went out to dinner and then headed back to the room to watch Couple's Retreat. I don't remember the last time we have laughed like that in a movie. We absolutely loved it! Sunday morning we awoke to breakfast. We had ordered it the night before. It was delicious. Justin kept choking on it though, because it set us back $45.00, of course at the time.... we didn't realize my mom had covered that too! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and missed the kids tons. It was only for one night..... but it only takes one night to realize the blessings that you have. At times, those blessings can exhaust you.... but time away allows you this realization.

Show season officially starts tomorrow with turkeys in S.A. For the next 2 1/2 months.... daddy is going to be running ragged with very little time spent at home. Tonight he was able to come home early and he spent most of the night wrestling with the kids. There is NOTHING like fixing dinner and hearing the laughter of your husband and children. That is complete and utter happiness!

Well.... time to head to bed. Thought I would post a quick update before heading off..... didn't turn out so quick! Good night!

Who Knew? Update Version..... Please pass it on.
